About the Kindergarten
The Kindergarten holds a strong interest in the many languages through which children communicate. The team has recently completed research as a centre of innovation looking at children's multiple literacies.
A huge emphasis is placed on the documentation of teaching and learning,through children's portfolios and project books. Information and communication technology (ICT) is a strength within the programme and an avenue through which children's literacies and voices are captured.
The teachers at Wadestown Kindergarten are dedicated to providing children and their families with quality early childhood experiences. They believe in providing children with a safe, stimulating, happy and enthusiastic environment that empowers them to grow in confidence in their own strengths and abilities. Parent engagement and participation within the programme is high and they are seen as key partners in the teaching and learning process.
