Working For Us
To apply for a teaching position with Wellington Kindergartens, applicants must hold:- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Current Practising Certificate (Teacher Registration which is either Full, Provisional or Subject to Confirmation)
- Current First Aid Certificate

All teachers working with children in the Wellington Region Free Kindergarten Association (WRFKA) are fully trained, holding at least the Diploma of Teaching Early Childhood Education (many have degrees). This means that you will only ever be part of a team where all members have professional knowledge and understanding of child learning and development theory. Your knowledge will be supported and enhanced by professional, trained and qualified teachers.
Registration
All teachers working in Wellington Kindergartens must either hold a certificate of full registration or be working towards it. You will be supported as you work through the 2 year registration period, with workshops and a professional, individualised advice and guidance programme.
