Te manu e kai te miro nōna te ngahere. Te tamaiti e kai te mātauranga nōna te ao.

Families of children attending Wellington Kindergartens received notification in late June that a 50 cents per hour whānau contribution towards maintaining 100% qualified, registered teachers in our kindergartens was being introduced from 1 August. This is because the Government has determined that early childhood services (including kindergartens) don’t need 100% qualified teachers and have cut our funding accordingly.Families will be receiving a letter during the week beginning 1 August outlining what your contribution is and providing you with information about how to pay it. This is not a fee, and you won’t incur a debt if you don’t pay it. However, it is pivotal to ensuring we maintain the high quality teaching team your kindergarten currently enjoys, so please make as much of a contribution as you can.
